About Children's 2nd Language

Children’s 2nd Language has established a long term commitment to enrich the lives of children since 1988. The preschool and elementary school years are the most unique time to learn a new language. Their young minds can learn with very little effort and retain what they’ve learned for a long time.

Listening and comprehension are the first steps of acquiring a second language. Babies are already using their very first language skills that will make them ready to speak within the very first two years of their lives. Just as easy as it is for them to learn their very first language they are able to use that skill to learn a second one or even a third or fourth. The only thing needed is exposure.

Children’s 2nd Language is proud to have created this learning opportunity in many private schools as well as the Chicago Public School system for over 30 years. The exciting response we have seen from children coming from all different backgrounds shows how natural learning can be while expanding their cognitive and thinking skills with fun activities.

The purpose of education is to prepare our new generation to function successfully in the world they live in. Studies have shown how the job market shows priority in hiring bilingual professionals! There is no doubt that parents as well as educators need to be proactive in making Children’s 2nd Language a part of our precious new generations education.

Children's 2nd Language Academy takes a whole-child approach to elementary education. Teachers, administrators, counselors, and support staff work together to meet the intellectual, social, behavioral, and emotional needs of each and every child we serve.

THE TEACHERS, ADMINISTRATORS AND STAFF AT Children's 2nd Language Academy ARE UNITED IN THEIR BELIEF THAT ALL CHILDREN:

  • Have the power to learn

  • Are curious & creative

  • Can succeed

Our unique success in producing early achievers gained our children the title of "Preschool Prodigies" in the Star Newspaper.
